We currently have a requirement for a Communications Lead to work on-site for one of our large Telecoms clients representing Inglis Jane. The Communications Lead will be accountable for defining and executing a multi-media communications plan. The audience includes internal stakeholders across the business and technology domains, as well as key vendors and systems integrators. The campaign should promote, high levels of awareness and understanding of the strategic objectives, benefits and impact on the areas affected. Developing, owning and managing an effective audience-relevant communications plan through a wide variety of mediums. The role will involve working closely with the program teams, business readiness teams and central and local communications teams

Role purpose:

Responsible for the creation and effective delivery of two-way internal communication and engagement. They will execute the planned communication & engagement campaigns for the relevant Market(s)/Lines of Business, across the lifecycle of a Programme. They will ensure capabilities are brought to life and understood by business stakeholders

Key accountabilities:

  • Own communication and engagement strategy for the programme
  • Agree the key messages with the business sponsor
  • Create and manage programme engagement plan
  • Facilitate sessions with the right stakeholders to test and pre-socialise communications and training material
  • Conduct audience analysis for both communications
  • Create excellent and engaging content in both digital and more traditional formats
  • Recommend the delivery channels using the latest digital capabilities
  • Measure the effectiveness of communication & training using digital techniques, and take appropriate follow on actions
  • Define and apply a content management approach for the programme
  • Define the brand and market the programme to the business
  • Ensure the programme is communicated across all regions in a variery of formats (All hands, newsletters, workplace updates)
  • Coordinate all programme communications to deliver one version of the truth
  • Create a transition to BAU plan for all training content to enable future updates

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Highly-motivated, creative individual with strong project management skills who is able to work on their own initiative, deliver to tight deadlines/budgets and build strong working relationships
  • Significant experience of digital content creation and communication
  • Use of social media to maximise communication impact
  • Ability to turn complex messages into simple, engaging communications
  • Collaborative team player able to work in a matrix, across multiple functions and global locations
  • Stakeholder management, excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work autonomously without supervision
  • Experience of Agile working is desirable

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Fluency in platforms such as Facebook and YouTube, and programs like Photoshop, SharePoint and Adobe Dreamweaver

  • Positive stakeholder feedback on engagement & training
  • Delivery of signed off assets to time, budget and quality
  • Achievement of adoption success criteria
